A little about me…

I have lived in Florida all my life.  One of the many things I enjoy about the Florida lifestyle is the variety of water sports.  Witnessing the sunrise or sunset from my boat is truly therapeutic for me.  Snorkeling in the beautifully diverse reefs in the Florida Keys when I was young,  was like being in another world.  Some of my fondest memories include getting up early in the morning to go fishing with my dad. Finding the snapper and what seemed like endless biting!

My profession, for many years, has been designing and building custom wall units and furniture for a wide variety of clientele. One of these customers mentioned wanting a compact floor rack for his rods and reels which resulted in my design for a circular rack that provided easy storage with a small footprint. Other requests have inspired other rack designs to fit specific needs and fishing equipment. I try to meet each challenge with a design that is built to be sturdy and has a clean smooth finish to be aesthetically pleasing.

Summer is coming to an end soon but fishing enthusiasts are still hard at it! We are located in Florida so fishing is a year-round activity for us. Our northern friends will be storing their fishing gear until next year in the upcoming months.

Since Reel Rack began, in 2009, we have continued to design rod racks based on functionality, security, durability, and our customer’s feedback.  Requests for more compact storage that won’t crowd reels has now been addressed with the introduction of our two new designs.  Our new rectangular varied height model allows you to store twenty rods and reels in the same space as racks that only store ten rods. The rack is also portable with wheels that will lock when positioned where you want it.

Another option is our round varied height design.  This 18″ footprint can roll into the corner of your garage and hold twenty rods and reels neatly and securely until they are needed again.  Both models hold either freshwater or saltwater gear and allow plenty of room so that your reels are not colliding.
